About

Elijah and Doah are friends and farmers who want to make your life easier. They’ve figured out a simple solution to mixing fertilizers and balancing pH, a hack that’s already made their own lives easier.

Everyone knows that mixing fertilizer with a sump pump is a bummer. Running multiple pumps for aeration and mixing is not ideal, and water pH can fluctuate throughout the season. Doah and Elijah didn’t like it one bit, so they set out to do something different.

Doah, a life-long aquarist, had a lightbulb moment thinking about saltwater fish tank technology for protein skimmers. The idea turned into a prototype and the prototype turned into the Aeromixer. After years of testing on their own gardens, sharing with friends, and making improvements, they’re ready to share it with the farming community. Oh and in case you were wondering--yes, it was a good year.

Elijah grew up in Williams, Oregon, where his mom's garden produced about half of the food his family ate. This early introduction to farming promoted a deep, lifelong love for the outdoors and the natural world.  After high school, Elijah spent four years in Hawaii as a Scuba Dive-master, two years in Alaska working in commercial fishing, and managed to find the time to get his helicopter pilot's license in between. Over the last decade, Elijah has been back in Southern Oregon growing his own successful gardens with the help of his mom's tips and now, Aeromixer.

Doah was born and raised in Southern Oregon where, at the early age of seventeen, he began working as a mechanic at a high performance auto shop. After five years of repairing and improving Audis, Porsches, Subarus, and Volkswagens, Doah was promoted to manager and spent another five years in that role. In his free time, he began gardening and keeping saltwater fish tanks, both with varying degrees of initial success but lending themselves well to his mechanically-inclined mind. Over the past decade, Doah has learned much about growing things in and out of the water, along with engineering systems to improve outcomes. It was a combination of these three passions that inspired Doah to create Aeromixer.
